Welcome to Trinity!

We invite everyone — whatever your age, race, marital status, sexual orientation, address, physical ability, native land or language, or economic and employment status — to join our vibrant community of faith at the corner of 18th & Broadway in the heart of downtown Denver.

This is accomplished through three goals:

Inviting our congregation and others throughout the community to COME WORSHIP GOD.
Helping our congregation to GROW IN SPIRIT.
Preparing our congregation to GO SERVE CHRIST.

WORSHIP
Trinity offers serveral opportunities for worship each week:

Sundays at 8:15 a.m.
This is the ideal service for early risers and those seeking a more intimate worship experience.

Sundays at 11:00 a.m.
This traditional service emphasizes the sermon, Chancel Choir, and the historic Roosevelt pipe organ.

Holy Communion
A brief communion service is offered after each Sunday morning service at 9:15 a.m. and 12 p.m., immediately following the organ postlude. Communion is also celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to receive this sacrament at Trinity.

LITURGY: WORK OF THE PEOPLE, Wednesdays from 6:00–6:55 p.m.
Pastoral Assistant Tom Owens directs a new lay-led worship service on Wednesday nights as part of our Wednesday Nite Live experience. This new service is intergenerational, dynamic and inclusive.We are a growing community of diverse believers who gather weekly to share our gifts of worship and praise with one another.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
A variety of classes and discussion groups meet at 9:30 a.m. throughout the building on Sunday mornings for Bible study and spiritual growth for all ages. View our Sunday morning class offerings at www.trinityumc.org/sundaymorningclasses.

Second session Sunday School is offered for children (pre-school through 5th grade) during the 11 a.m. worship service. Following the Children's Message, children are escorted to the children's area for stories and activities appropriate for their age group.

Nursery for children ages 0 through 2 years is available in the Orange Room 207 on Level 2 from 8 a.m. through 12:15 p.m.

Brass Ensemble 7:00 PM Weekly, Tuesdays Open to those with experience playing trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, baritone or tuba. The ensemble performs in worship and at special events during the year.<div><br></div><div>Rehearses Tuesdays, 7–8 p.m.</div>
Chancel Choir 7:00 PM Weekly, Wednesdays The Chancel Choir sings for the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday mornings, as well as provides special musical performances throughout the year. All are invited to join our community of singers!<div><br></div><div>Rehearses Wednesdays, 7–9 p.m.</div>
Children's Chimes 5:30 PM Weekly, Wednesdays Children's Chimes is for children age 4 through grade 2. With this fun introduction to hand chimes, the focus for children will be on counting, ringing techniques and learning to read music. Children's Chimes plays in worship a couple times each year.<div><br></div><div>Meets Wednesdays, 5:30–6 p.m.</div>
Children's Second Session Sunday School 11:15 AM Weekly, Sundays Available for children age 2 through fifth grade, this class takes place following the Children's Message in worship and will learn about the same Bible lessons and themes heard in the main worship service.
Children's Sunday School 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays Children's traditional Sunday School is grouped by 2-3 year olds, Kindergarten-Preschool, and First-Fifth graders. Each class employs age-appropriate curriculum to give children an awareness of God.
Contemplative Spirituality 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays This class is designed for those seeking a quiet contemplative experience to explore Lectio Divina and other contemplative prayer practices, which includes an extended time of silent prayer and meditation.
Exploring Trinity 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays This is a six-week membership orientation class that introduces participants to Christian discipleship, one's personal faith journey and membership at Trinity. Call the church office for start dates of each six-week session.
Family Ministries 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays Homebuilders is a Sunday School class tailored to adults with kids and a place for down-to-earth fellowship, spiritual growth and support.<div><br></div><div>Meets 9:30–10:30 a.m.</div>
Flute Choir 6:00 PM Weekly, Mondays Open to those with experience. The choir performs in worship and at special events during the year.<div><br></div><div>Rehearses Mondays, 6–7:30 p.m.</div>
Genesis Ringers 5:30 PM Weekly, Wednesdays Genesis Ringers is for children in grades 3 through 5. This is a warm and welcoming introductory handbell ensemble for children who experience melody, rhythm and the joy of working and playing together through their music. Genesis Ringers play for worship several times throughout the year.<div><br></div><div>Meets Wednesdays, 5:30–6 p.m.</div>
Homebuilders 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays This classis tailored to adults with kids and is a place for down-to-earth fellowship, spiritual growth and support.
Intervals of Joy 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays This class invites all adults interested in music to develop music skills, study music history and explore spirituality through music. Sessions will also include studying major works performed by the Chancel Choir and developing vocal technique.
Joyful Voices 6:00 PM Weekly, Wednesdays Join us in community and learning, outstanding performance opportunities, collaborations with Youth Choir, extensive and fun vocal training and music literacy by being part of the first children's choir at Trinity to kick off the exciting and highly-acclaimed Voice for Life learning adventure. Children in grades 2 through 5 will have great fun finding out what they can do in singing as we serve God and our congregation. We are excited about creating a real choir experience with consistent attendance and growth.
Joyful Voices Junior 6:00 PM Weekly, Wednesdays Joyful Voices Junior is a preparatory choir for children in Kindergarten and first grade. Participants will sing, play simple instruments, learn basic music literacy and ear training skills, and enjoy movement activities in a fun and welcoming environment. Joyful Voices Junior singers will have the opportunity to develop performance skills as they sing in worship and other special music events at Trinity.<div><br></div><div>Meets Wednesdays, 6–6:30 p.m.</div>
Living the Journey 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays Each individual spiritual journey encounters times of questioning, exploring, discerning and experiencing. This series creatively engages participants in the continuing development of one's faith.
Pastor's Bible Study 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays This class provides an opportunity for fellowship, devotion and Bible study.
Surveying the Bible 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays Participants look at particular biblical persons, events or books while trying to see the larger story to which these individual passages belong.
Trinity Academy 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays This class addresses four strands of emphasis, the Bible, Spirituality, World Religions and Current Theological Issues, which are presented by professors from the Iliff School of Theology and special guests. Annual registration fee applies.
Trinity Ringers 6:30 PM Weekly, Mondays Adult ringers of all skill levels are welcome in Trinity Ringers. New ringers are paired with an experienced ringer during the early learning stages. Advanced ringers are encouraged to work in ensembles in addition to the main choir. Ensemble practice starts at 6 p.m. The choir brings music ministry to worship services once a month, as well as to occasional community programs.<div><br></div><div>Meets Mondays, 6:30–7:45 p.m.</div>
Trinity Transitionals 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays Trinity members of mature ages meet for coffee and lively conversation on a wide range of topics reflecting biblical history and perspectives, as well as contemporary views on media and the arts, and concerns of modern living.
Trinity Young Adults 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays This class studies biblical, non-biblical, religious and contemporary material in order to gain a better understanding of our spiritual lives and faith.
Trinity Youth Sunday School 9:30 AM Weekly, Sundays Trinity Youth is a welcoming place to join with others your own age to ask questions, discover how truly amazing God is, be encouraged to be yourself and grow in your faith.
Wesleyan Breakfast Club 9:00 AM Monthly, 1st Friday The Wesleyan Breakfast Club meets monthly for fellowship over breakfast. Guest speakers are scheduled to discuss a variety of topics.
Youth Bells 7:00 PM Weekly, Wednesdays Youth Bells, for youth in grades 6 through 12, has fun and fellowship while working on challenging music to play in Sunday morning worship services and other opportunities that come about during the year. Ringing experience is not necessary, but being able to read music is helpful.<div><br></div><div>Meets Wednedays, 7–8 p.m.</div>
Youth Choir 6:00 PM Weekly, Wednesdays If you are a youth in grade 6 through 12, then YOU belong in YOUth Choir! We are a group of singers of all ability levels committed to celebrating our faith through music, providing leadership in worship, developing strong friendships and growing our musical talents. We sing once a month for worship and have also attended choral festivals, served in outreach and taken part in special concerts at Trinity. We've also sung the National Anthem with the Chancel Choir at Colorado Rockies games!
