WELCOME

We at Glendale UMC want you to know that no matter:.
Where you've come from or where you are going; what you believe or what you may doubt; what you are feeling or just not feeling; what you have or don't have; and no matter the color of your skin, who you love or how you identify - all of who you are is welcomed into this community of faith by a God who loves you and knows you by name.

If you are new to the area, looking for a new church that is inclusive + anti-racist or just visiting Nashville for the weekend, we welcome you to Glendale. We are a growing faith community that includes people of many diverse backgrounds and faith journeys, single, partnered + married, of all ages. All are welcome at Glendale - with no exceptions or exclusions. #YallMeansAll

We come together in worship and small groups and we are intentional in our mission + service to the community to work towards justice + inclusion for all people. Come and experience Glendale for worship this Sunday at 10amCT in person + live online.

HOW WE SHARE OUR GIFTS

We are inclusive + affirming + reconciling.
In 2019, and by a unanimous vote, our congregation became an official Reconciling Congregation. This means we are a safe place for all of God’s children to grow deeper (or begin) their faith journey – no matter who you love or how you identify. We are intentional in connecting with the LGBTQ+ community through Pride and other community events and actively support the work of LaunchPad, The Oasis Center and other life changing (+ saving) organizations.

What is worship + the community like?
People check out Glendale for the first time every week in worship @ 10am. Worship at Glendale is an inclusive experience for all people that includes a message of God’s unending love + grace, upbeat music and a growing community of people with diverse faith journeys, backgrounds + experiences, sexual orientations + gender identities. We have live ASL Interpretation and communion is served with grape juice rather than wine with an option of gluten free bread. We practice an open table where all people are welcome – no matter what. #YallMeansAll

What if I'm not a Christian?
Not a problem. We welcome everyone. Our faith is a journey – each person at their own place as we grow in this life together. Come just as you are to Glendale – no exceptions and no exclusions.
