| Bella Musica Handbells Choir | 6:15 PM | Weekly, Wednesdays | <p>Laurel Heights is blessed to have a 5 octave set of Schulmerich handbells, along with a long tradition of the joyful peal of bells on a regular basis in worship. The Bella Musica choir season runs September through May, and the choir plays in worship 2-3 times a semester. For this ensemble a complement of 11 players is full capacity. (Currently there are openings for subs only.) Basic music reading skills is a must for this group as well.</p><p>Music Director Geoffrey Waite directs the Bella Musica Handbells Choir. The Choir rehearses in the Sanctuary Balcony at 6:00 on Wednesday evenings.<br></p> |
| Chancel Choir | 7:00 PM | Weekly, Wednesdays | <p>The Chancel Choir, an ensemble of mixed voices, provides the regular choral leadership for the 11:00 service at Laurel Heights, occasionally singing at the 8:30 service, as well as at special worship events throughout the church year.</p><p><p>Except for the month of July, which is taken off, their season runs the entire year. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the choir room, audition is not required, and membership is open to High School age and up.</p><p>Our repertoire is predominantly traditional sacred anthems, but frequently includes spirituals and folk hymn based compositions. The Chancel Choir typically enjoys prayer and refreshments together at the close of each rehearsal.<br></p></p> |
| Children's Choirs | 6:00 PM | Weekly, Wednesdays | Children’s choirs meet for a half-hour on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 and 6:30. Joyful Noise, for 3- to 5-year-olds meets at 6:00 pm and Laurel Choir, for kindergarten to second grade meet at 6:30 pm. Each choir meets in Room 313-A. |

| Informal with communion | 6:15 PM | Weekly, Wednesdays | A small, informal gathering meets in Scott Chapel on Wednesday evenings at 6:15. Communion is offered. |
| Knitpickers | 1:00 PM | Weekly, Mondays | This group of volunteers meet to create shawls, blankets and similar items for use in the sanctuary during worship and as an outreach for other projects. |
| Moving On | 9:00 AM | Weekly, Mo/We/Fr | Gentle exercise and movement to give your body a workout without wearing it out. Suitable for all ages, but especially geared for seniors. This class is led by a Wesley Nurse. |
| Sunday School | 10:00 AM | Weekly, Sundays | We offer a variety of topics and class styles for all ages. During the summer months we offer Summer in the Story for children and youth. |
| The Knitpickers | 1:00 PM | Weekly, Mondays | We meet to make baby blankets, lap covers, and knitted caps. Our ministry seeks to share God's love in tangible ways by providing carefully and prayerfully knit articles to those in need. |
