Video Stories Podcast Podcasts are audio or video broadcasts created and stored digitally on the Internet. Instead of being broadcast over the airwaves once and lost, like with traditional radio or TV, podcasts were created to be stored and played at the user's convenience. Think of them as shows waiting to be downloaded. This is a free service of UMC.org. We ask that you not modify the podcasts in any way. UMC.org reserves the right to modify or terminate the feeds at any time without notice. How do I subscribe to the Video Stories Podcast? iTunes Method (recommended) - Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (a free download).
- Once you have the new iTunes software installed, you can download the free podcast automatically without having to install the podcast software.
- Go under the “Advanced” tab and click on the “Subscribe to Podcast” button as shown below.
- Enter the following URL into the box: http://www2.umc.org/rss/RSS_umcPodcasts88_16.xml and click "OK"
Now iTunes will automatically check and download the latest Video Stories podcast when it's available. Everything Else - Download the iPodder software, or some other podcast software.
- Setup the software to check for new podcasts. Open the iPodder software and click the "Status" tab. Enter the Video Stories feed: http://www2.umc.org/rss/RSS_umcPodcasts88_16.xml - into the "Add feed manually" window, then click "Add"
- Check the feed. Select "Video Stories Podcast" and then click the "Check selected feed" button. The software should download the latest feed straight to your computer.
- Set it up to automatically download the new Video Stories. Click the scheduler tab. Check the box "check for new podcasts automatically." Set the time you would like the computer to check for new podcasts.
