He contributed to the following books: One Household, One Hope (Division of Ordained Ministry, 1988), Voces: Voices from the Hispanic Church (Abingdon Press, 1992), Manual de Adoración (Board of Discipleship, 1998), and Fiesta Cristiana (Abingdon Press, 2004). The 2007 and 2008 editions of the Abingdon Preaching Annual included his sermons. 2007 Lecciones Crisitanas para Jovenes published fourteen Sunday school lessons by Dr. Gómez on the "Images of Christ in the Letter to Hebrews and the Four Gospels." 1996 Visiting Minister Fellow at Bridwell Library, Southern Methodist University. 2001 Visiting Fellow at the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas.
