Profile: David Steward

This month on UMC.org Profiles, David Steward, chairman and founder of World Wide Technology, Inc. – one of the largest African-American-owned businesses in America – and author of Doing Business by the Good Book, shares his faith story.

David Steward came from a home where his family would put their last dollar into the offering plate, and he now runs a global company worth nearly $2 billion.  Steward believes in the biblical principle of sowing and reaping, but his primary focus isn’t money…it’s people.  He wants his life to be about walking in love, and sowing the seed of the Word into people’s lives.  He believes that he is “blessed to be a blessing,” and faithfully gives back to the church and community.  His life is an example of what putting faith into action can accomplish.
