Where are your church headquarters?
The United Methodist Church does not have a church headquarters.
The structure of the denomination is similar to that of the U.S. government. The General Conference is the top legislative body; the nine-member Judicial Council is the "supreme court"; and the Council of Bishops is similar to the executive branch.
In addition, there are 13 general agencies, each with specific responsibilities.
Annual conferences and districts (regional bodies) also carry out program and administrative responsibilities.
