The Central Conference Pension Initiative is the work of the Global Pensions Task Force, an inter-agency committee of The United Methodist Church. The Task Force is investigating the possibility of offering pension support to the clergy and lay workers of the central conferences. The Rev. Irene Kabete from Zimbabwe has experienced how the lack of a decent pension plan affects a pastor.
