Photo Researcher
(Part-time:19.5 hours per week) (Nashville, TN, 37203)

Provides photography support to UMNS and the other content-production teams at UMCom.

Essential Job Functions:


  1. Provides daily support to UMNS in assessing, processing and, to the extent that support is needed by the Web team, uploading photographs submitted by contributors; tracking down photographs, maps and other art needed for stories; and following up with contributors as needed. Sphere of work includes social media as well as traditional Web pages.

  2. Gathers caption information and writes captions for photos.

  3. Helps maintain image archives.

  4. Serves as a resource to other content-production teams and UMC.org in finding photos and other art, such as logos and graphics. Also fulfills external requests for photo assistance.

  5. Shoots photographs occasionally on an as-needed basis.
