We share our gifts by:
1. Working at Rowan Helping Ministries - the local food pantry and homeless shelter.
2. Delivering Meals-On-Wheels for the East Rowan and Gold Hill Routes.
3. Collecting special offerings to benefit global and local ministries (i.e., we have a Lenten Offering each year to benefit the Heifer Project, we do a monthly offering to fund our March-for-Missions program that offers financial assistance to those in crisis, our youth have special meals after worship to benefit the work of Relay for Life or Rowan Helping Ministries, etc.
4. Weekly collection of food and household goods for the Rowan Helping Ministries Food Pantry.
5. Budgeted mission support for the East Rowan Bible Teacher, two local Boy Scout Troops,as well as many other mission projects.
6. Our United Methodist Men's and Women's outreach, mission projects, and fund raisers to benefit special ministries and missionaries.
7. Working at the Western NC Conference Mission Response Center.
8. Going to local Retirement homes with our Youth.
9. Building ramps for members of our community in need. 10. Collecting Flood Buckets and Health Kits for the Mission Response Center.
11. We are always keeping our eyes open for new opportunities to serve!
12. Our church recently started a new ministry called Hammers for Christ which involves storm-disaster response teams working in the community and state, as well as home repairs and ramp building for folks in our community.
